Two people were trapped in a car on Wednesday after it left the road on Schulgasse in Waging am See. Feuerwehr Waging said it was alerted at about 11:00 and found that the occupants could not get out on their own.

Crews first removed a garden fence with a rescue spreader, then pulled the car clear with a winch. Firefighters looked after the two occupants and handed them to the rescue service.

Twenty firefighters and four vehicles attended. They also controlled traffic on Schulgasse and Wilhelm-Scharnow-Straße. The operation ended after about an hour.

It was not initially known whether the two occupants were injured or how much property damage the crash caused.
